Hello Everyone,I have had so much fun reading your BLOGS that I thought I would try to add my own. This is Becky (Blauer) Dowdle writing to you from Ann Arbor, MI where we have lived for one semester. Yes, we still keep track of our lives in semesters and probably will forever, that is if Brian ever does actually get this PhD that he is working on... (Japanese Literature Est. finish date 2009???). Anyway we are having a great time in Michigan attending football games, picking raspberries, and playing in the snow! As evidenced by 2 1/2 year old Joshua building a snowman outside our back door. ~Becky
PS~ Scott and Joanne- Brian and I are coming to NYC this weekend! The 10th and 11th (all by ourselves, imagine NYC without a STROLLER!). We are thinking of going to that great Pizza place under the Brooklyn Bridge on Friday night. We will probably take the A train there and then walk back over the bridge, weather permitting. If you guys are interested in coming just let me know, we are flexible on the time. ~Becky

Great blog! I'm very jealous of your snow. (I've heard that--so far--this is the mildest NYC winter in years. We've only had one or two snowstorms...)
As far as pizza goes--that is a great idea! We've been meaning to go to that pizza place for some time. (Our friends have been there a few times and highly recommend it.) However, I've got an interview in DC on Friday; I won't be back until after 9pm. We'd definately be up for something on Saturday, if you'd like. Let me know what you think.

I couldn't get you little "let me know" thing to work, so I am posting this as a comment. Our Sat. plans are actually pretty full, in the morning Brian presents on a paper on campus, then that afternoon we are going to "Women in White," and then that night Brian has a dinner for the conference that he/we are attending (the reason for the trip besides the fun). So maybe we could meet Sat. late afternoon but unfortunantly not do dinner at the pizza place. Otherwise we are staying at Jenny and Damon Larsen's, so we could even come over Friday night after 9:00 if you don't think you'll be too tired. I heard that you guys live on Claremont in the Bigney's old building, we would have been neighbors! Anyway, let me know what you think.

Actually, my flight gets back just after 9pm. I won't be home for another 40 minutes or so after that....
It looks like a Saturday afternoon thing would be best.
